A Little Introduction ....

Posted by Mary Van Den Berge on

My name is Mary Ellen Van Den Berge.  Just call me Mary unless you are one of my Grandchildren, then you can call me Oma!  My husband is Dutch is case you haven't guessed from my last name.

I was born in London, Ontario and raised on a farm just north west of Granton, Ontario.  Currently I live in Petrolia but have also lived in London, Guelph, Dorchester, Clandeboye and most recently St. Marys.

My birthday is October 30th.  No I'm not telling you the year and yes I was born on Devils Night (if you believe in that kind of thing).  Come to think of it, that may explain a lot about me.

I am married to Casey & have 2 daughters.  Christina & Katelyn (my Fashion Fusion partner).  The real loves of my life are my grandchildren.  Solstice, Sarina, William & Hazel.

What I like to do as a hobby ...  I like to knit/crochet and sit on my deck with a good murder mystery book.

Although I like bike riding, If  had to pick a favourite sport it would be golf.  Not playing it, but watching it on Sunday afternoons.  I have the best naps during golf!

In my free time I love to go shopping so I think I am in the right business.

What I don't like is SPIDERS! If I don't see them that's ok, but stay out of my space.

My favourite drink is WINE ... no surprise here.

My favourite day of the week is Sunday so I can nap during golf.

My favourite month is October of course as it's my birthday month and I share my birthday with my grandson William.

For vacation I like to travel to Punta Cana, DR.  Casey & I have been going to the same Dreams Resort for 14 years.  Yes, we may seem like creature of habit, but we love this place and will miss not travelling this winter.

One of my other favourite spots to be is in my own backyard.  I love my yard and I love my house.  Casey has done a fantastic job making this house ours.

So now you know a little bit about me, I can't wait to hear something about you!  Send me a message or comment on our Facebook Page one thing about you I should know.

I can't wait to meet many of you in person.

Remember:  Stay safe ... stay strong.
